JDRF is excited to host this one-day tournament to raise funds for our mission to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). JDRF works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people—and to prevent anyone else from ever knowing it—by funding research; advocating for government support of research and new therapies; ensuring new therapies come to market and are recommended by healthcare providers; and connecting, engaging, and educating the T1D community.
Tournament Details:
Dink for Diabetes is a doubles team only, round robin tournament. Teams may compete in the men's doubles (2.5 - 4.5+), women's doubles (2.5 - 4.5+) or mixed doubles (2.5 - 4.5+) divisions. Teams must play at the skill level of the higher-rated player. The final schedule and availability of competition in all divisions and skill levels will be determined by final registration numbers and may be subject to change.
This will be much more than a pickleball tournament. Dink for Diabetes will offer great competition for participants and spectators, but we will also create a festival-like environment with food, beverages, a VIP Lounge, raffle prizes and more. Between the popularity of pickleball and the passionate support of JDRF’s mission by the local T1D community, we expect this first-time event to sell out!
